Ainsi les produits et services num\u00e9riques gratuits et libres (ne pas confondre avec les <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Freeware\">gratuiciels\/<i>freeware<\/i><\/a>) sont mal vus dans l\u2019opinion populaire et parmi les gestionnaires.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, le logiciel ne fait pas tout. C\u2019est son int\u00e9gration dans le flux d\u2019activit\u00e9s et processus m\u00e9tier, parmi les outils pr\u00e9existants, qui est d\u00e9terminante. Il s\u2019agit certes d\u2019int\u00e9gration technologique, les dimensions de tels projets sont pourtant humaines et organisationnelles.<\/p>\n<p>Si le logiciel a une valeur intrins\u00e8que, son int\u00e9gration dans l\u2019architecture des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019information d\u00e9j\u00e0 en place et son adoption par les employ\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s sont critiques. Ainsi de nombreux acteurs de l\u2019\u00e9conomie num\u00e9rique d\u00e9ploient un <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mod%C3%A8les_%C3%A9conomiques_des_logiciels_open_source\">mod\u00e8le d\u2019affaire autour de logiciels libres<\/a> et engrangent du profit en vendant des services de support technique \u00e0 cette int\u00e9gration, formation aux employ\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s et conseils aux gestionnaires.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est un mod\u00e8le d\u2019affaires oppos\u00e9 \u00e0 celui de la vente de logiciels et mises en abonnements de services. Il est adopt\u00e9 par des entreprises telles que Red Hat et IBM. Lorsqu\u2019une entreprise est en situation de monopole, elle n\u2019est plus motiv\u00e9e \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer ses produits et services. Cela a des cons\u00e9quences dramatiques dans l\u2019\u00e9conomie num\u00e9rique, dont les produits une fois d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9multipli\u00e9s comme aucun autre produit analogique.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi des voix s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8vent pour critiquer le monopole d\u2019entreprises telles que Microsoft. La critique ne se situe ni dans l\u2019animosit\u00e9 de certain\u00b7es vis-\u00e0-vis de cette entreprise, ni \u00e0 l\u2019encontre des produits et fonctionnalit\u00e9s qu\u2019elle offre, mais bien contre sa position \u00e9conomique monopolaire. R\u00e9cemment, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2024\/04\/21\/microsoft_national_security_risk\/\">un dignitaire \u00e9tasunien expliquait que la firme de Redmond repr\u00e9sente une menace de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale<\/a>. C\u2019est une situation rocambolesque qu\u2019une entreprise nationale devienne une menace pour son pays. En Europe aussi se pose la question de mettre tous ses \u0153ufs dans un m\u00eame panier, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire qualifier le risque de placer toutes les activit\u00e9s critiques europ\u00e9ennes dans un seul produit, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par une seule soci\u00e9t\u00e9.
