Surrounded by a recreational Alpine scenery teachers, researchers and educators discussed future trends in ICT and media literacy, competencies, pedagogy and curricular affordances. Besides educational goals the conference also facilitated collaboration between universities of teacher education.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-347\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.unifr.ch\/create\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/06\/Rigi_2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.unifr.ch\/create\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Rigi_2018.jpg 1567w, https:\/\/blog.unifr.ch\/create\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Rigi_2018-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.unifr.ch\/create\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Rigi_2018-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.unifr.ch\/create\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Rigi_2018-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blog.unifr.ch\/create\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Rigi_2018-1200x800.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In several workshops and round-table discussions topics like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;How do we distinguish between computational thinking and programing?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;What is the role of and how do we teach applied competences to student teachers?&#8221; or<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;How can one integrate media and ICT education with reference to the curriculum 21?&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a nutshell, it was found that education in general, and Switzerland in particular, should be based on individualization, creativity and innovation; not on artificial standards.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, a uniform professional voice and use-inspired collaboration need to be rooted in the Swiss landscape of ICT and media education, especially on an academic level.
