Greater Caucasus Maps

We present hereafter a series of maps on the regional geology and tectonics of the Greater Caucasus region. Some are older documents and some are new documents produced by our team. The references and information about are given, as well as the links to down load the maps  :

Detailed geological (1:100’00) map of the Greater Caucasus along the Military road between Tbilisi (Georgia) and Vladikavkaz (Russia). This map is implemented in a GIS (ArcGIS) data base. The map is in 2 sheets: North and South. The link is to a medium resolution version in PDF format. The map is based on a compilation of existing data (1:100’00 and 1:50’000) maps and new field work.

NEW Tectonic-Geologic map of the Greater Caucasus and surrounding regions between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. This map is a joint effort of our Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia team. This map is implemented in a GIS (ArcGIS) data base. The link is to a medium resolution version in PDF format.  This map combines data from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia and Armenia. The data have been combined to produce a consistant map.
